William Whipple Jr. DOI

William Whhipple Jr. was born in Kittery Maine on 14 January 1730 and died 28 November 1785, He was a Congregationalist and married Catharine Moffatt and all children born to them died in infancy. He was also a Freemason, St. John’s Kidgem Portsmouth New Hampshire 1752. Educated at a common shool. He became a Ship’s Master at the age of twenty-three. Elected a representative in the Provincial Congress in 1775 Served from 1776 to 1779 on the Continental Congress. Made a Brigadier General of the New Hampshire miliat in 1777 and served as Associate Jestice of the Superior Court of Ne Hampshire after the war.
