Man and His Religious Beliefes

Do you believe in the invisible beings of Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, or the Tooth Fairy without tangible evidence for their existence? NO? Then why is why do you believe in the existence of an invisible being called God?

For far too long man has been taught to believe in such a being that is in total control of you being and your after life. Follow his rules, do good, do no evil and you will be rewarded with eternal life as a reward in Heaven. Do the opposite of those things and be damned to an eternal life in Hell. All that without one shred of tangible evidence. You might just as well believe in Santa, and the rest of man made myths.

The Gods were probably first invented to explain the unexplainable and later it was discovered this belief could also be used to control the masses. As time went on man wrote different “Holy Books”

for such control which shamed man and used fear of wht the Supreme Being could do for or to them. Unscrupulous and greedy men soon set up a hierarchy of interpreters of Gods Word to force others to do what they deemed. And they called them Priests, ministers, pastors, and preachers. Do not stray from the religion you were raised with or taught because it is the “Word of the One True God”, be obedient to him of suffer eternal damnation. Really??

As the knowledge of science provided tangible and reasonable explanations for man existence, and the world around them, the Gods of old became less important and man challenged their existence. Just look at the Gods of the Roman and Greek Pantheons. The Norse Gods. All have been retired and forgotten about for the most part. It will only be a matter of time before the God you believe in will join them. For the believe in Jesus, pehaps Thomas Jefferson said it best, “The day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus by the Supreme Being in the womb of a virgin, will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter. “ Or concerning all religions Thomas Jefferson said,On the dogmas of religion, as distinguished from moral principles, all mankind, from the beginning of the world to this day, have been quarreling, fighting, burning and torturing one another, for abstractions unintelligible to themselves and to all others, and absolutely beyond the comprehension of the human mind.”

  1. I feel that when the universe was created, the designer also established natural laws to be followed which require no intervention to sustain life in the universe.

  2. I too despise organised religion in all its forms but I cannot accept that there is no Creator or Conciousness that designs this fantastic and beautiful universe.
Proof of God? What gives a body shape? How do the billions of cells know they are in the right place?
How does the tip of an individual branch know it is just long enough that it forms part of the profile of an oak and not a beech?
